This job is the first one I've had with paid vacation, so I still remember not having it. I WAS at wendy's for almost five years after all... haha. That's awesome that you like your job. It's pretty much the most important thing as far as I'm concerned. Happiness is one of those good things in life. ;) My fourth was also pretty low key. I hung out with my family for the whole night, but I'm kind of the boring person of the group when it comes to fireworks. I'm not a very big fan of the noise and I get no real pleasure out of lighting them, so I'm just the observer in the background. I enjoy watching them, at least when they look a bit like stars. =) I definitely got a bit of a scare on my way home though- there was a body laying in the road by the first avenue ramp. Scary stuff! I was lucky because two cars in front of me stopped to help the person [corpse?] - I almost stopped anyway, but I'm a chicken. So are you living in Chicago or do they live outside of Chicago? I keep telling myself I'm going to leave Chicago but I've been here my whole life. And this comment is officially too long! oops...
Congrats on the new job! Where you working? I hear you with the bike riding, I have been trying to be more active myself. I started riding my bike on a windy day and I nearly died, haha. It probably shouldn't be that hard to ride a bike, but that shows how active I am. =)
Other than that I'm doing fairly well. I feel like I work more than anything else, but I did finally request time off to just be a bum. Paid vacation=sweetness.
Yep. I'll see you on Monday. I'll check that band out. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully you'll buy me a drink or two...I have a feeling I'm gonna be thirsty on Monday!
no shit!! Do you work today? I may be Christmas shopping down there. Trust me, all retail blows. I work at Original Penguin (That brand with the polos and the little penguin on it) I think suicide would be the way out if I didn't have cool co workers to keep me sane. But a jobs a job, a lot of people are struggling to find one, consider yourself lucky!
who says it needs to be a shitty dance club? It can be a sweet emo club where we can wear all black and display our scarred wrists shamelessly. A club that specializes in Thursday, Hawthorne Heights, etc.
Wow dude. i didnt expect any comments but thanks for letting me and the band know what you think bout the song. i got a new (used) car so call me up when you guys are getting down or if you just wanna chill and burn.
You should work at a Half Price Books if there's one by you! Awesome benefits, no joke. And awesome job in general. What's better than being surrounded by books, records and video games all day? If you consider it and have questions, let me know. The stores are in Niles, Bloomingdale, Palatine, Highland Park and Countryside. I'm not sure if any are hiring though.. haha.
Sorry for selling my job to you, but it's the best job I've ever had. Not that there was much competition, but still!
Also, we need to hang out sometime. Because it's never happened.
