“I can play bass” The four little words that started it all. Unfortunately, at age 11, Sean didn’t exactly KNOW how to play the bass when he volunteered to be part of the back-up band for his elementary schools spring musical. Within three short weeks, Sean had diligently worked to master the basics of bass playing and the rest is history.
Sean was born on September 6, 1994 in Rochester NY. Upon moving to Charlotte NC the music bug bit and bit hard. His first formal music instruction was on piano at the age of 6. Guitar lessons were in the mix too but the bass guitar is indeed Sean’s natural fit. By the age of 12, Sean’s performance resume included a special feature on local Charlotte Fox TV affiliate for the “Blues, Brews and BBQ” Festival as well as gigs at local roller rinks, festivals and other events in the area.
As a member of Jake Haldenwang’s Blues Brew, Sean has performed in-studio on the Smokin’ Bluz Radio Program as well as a showcase at the famous Double Door Inn. The set performed by the band at the IBC Youth Showcase at Club 152 left the crowd screaming for more.
Sean’s musical education is important to him. As well as receiving private bass instruction, Sean is learning his way around a professional recording studio in the Charlotte area, preparing himself to be a studio musician and producer.
