The story-telling Folklore artist, Sean Pinchin, is best known for crafting warm and soulful sounds with nothing but his voice, harmonica and slide guitar. Using his music as therapy, every performance has an emotional delivery that any audience can feel and relate to.
Born in Etobicoke, Ontario in 1981, Sean Pinchin started out as a grunge guitarist eventually gravitating towards folk and early Delta Blues. Having played in and around the GTA in cover rock and pop bands for several years and teaching music on the side, Sean soon established himself as a talented musician – the only problem was, he had yet to find a style he could call his own. It wasn’t until he was introduced to a Hawaiian Lap Steel guitar, that Sean knew this was it.
2005 marked the beginning of tough but promising times for Sean
Pinchin. For years, Sean had been seeking help for depression when it dawned on him that his grief could be put to constructive use. He soon began writing about everything that caused him pain, fear and heartache, and after sometime, songs he was finally proud of came pouring out. His first and one of his most popular songs, Robin’s Nest, is a great example. Written about a girl he’s loved for years but could never get, the song is drenched in emotion and soul and always wins the hearts of his audience. With more time came more great songs including Spreading My Education, and Cardigans.
Currently, Sean performs as a solo artist, singing and playing acoustic slide guitar and harmonica at various venues across the city. He plays on average for about three to four hours every day. His music has become his therapy and he hopes it will “Create hope in the hopeless” as it did for himself. Sean recently finished recording a 16-track album entitled, Folklore, which can be purchased on Cd Baby.
I caught the last few songs at the Cameron House last night and I just wanted to say I'm so sad I missed the whole set. I'll have to catch you again another time. xo
Probably posted saying this before, you have some really good songs. I am not a big fan of folk, don't really listen to Bob Dylan but I like your songs.

Looking forward to your show, since I missed the one at Freeway Cafe and the last and first time i caught your show was at UTM back in 2007.
