The story-telling Folklore artist, Sean Pinchin, is best known for crafting warm and soulful sounds with nothing but his voice, harmonica and slide guitar. Using his music as therapy, every performance has an emotional delivery that any audience can feel and relate to.
Born in Etobicoke, Ontario in 1981, Sean Pinchin started out as a grunge guitarist eventually gravitating towards folk and early Delta Blues. Having played in and around the GTA in cover rock and pop bands for several years and teaching music on the side, Sean soon established himself as a talented musician – the only problem was, he had yet to find a style he could call his own. It wasn’t until he was introduced to a Hawaiian Lap Steel guitar, that Sean knew this was it.
2005 marked the beginning of tough but promising times for Sean
Pinchin. For years, Sean had been seeking help for depression when it dawned on him that his grief could be put to constructive use. He soon began writing about everything that caused him pain, fear and heartache, and after sometime, songs he was finally proud of came pouring out. His first and one of his most popular songs, Robin’s Nest, is a great example. Written about a girl he’s loved for years but could never get, the song is drenched in emotion and soul and always wins the hearts of his audience. With more time came more great songs including Spreading My Education, and Cardigans.
Currently, Sean performs as a solo artist, singing and playing acoustic slide guitar and harmonica at various venues across the city. He plays on average for about three to four hours every day. His music has become his therapy and he hopes it will “Create hope in the hopeless” as it did for himself. Sean recently finished recording a 16-track album entitled, Folklore, which can be purchased on Cd Baby.
Yes! Sean Pinchin and Deadly Hopefuls are MySpace pals at last! Thanks again for helping me out with the bass situation! I hope you enjoy what I've done with it; we'll have plenty more of that posted here in the comping weeks.

Hey Sean, been a longtime. I hope 2009 is treating you just swell. We should show swap soon with the strip and come up with more alliterations. Do you have any good places to play in Missasauga?
just revamped my own myspace layout... i've stepped it up big time. Check it out, custom header, custom logo instead of name and a sweet background shot.
Let me know if you are still interested in having me revamp yours to match the new album.
Hey buddy, I've finally updated my profile with new tracks. Come have a listen, I'm looking for gigs and like everyone who starts out I'm not looking for money, just opportunity.
So you are playing in Hamilton on the 2nd and I was looking forward to it the whole week.... But i just realised that i have classes till 10 pm! sucks! Play some more shows in Hamilton!
That was a great set at The Savannah Room. All hail the plaid-shirt. A consummate acoustic singer-songwriter, glorious guitar-mojo combined with an entertainers spirit. Cuts right to the chase, whether it's the amusing commentary, or strutting musicianship.
