If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
Nobody is too good for the most unpleasant service to help those in need. It is the person with a prideful heart that complains in his service, who feels life is unfair because he is obligated to serve and give of himself. No matter how many good deeds done, grudging service fails to please God because it is not done .from the heart. (Rom. 6:17). Maintaining the attitude of a servant challenges lives based on leisure, or laziness, selfish ambition or self-centeredness (Phil. 2:3-4).

Is your worship a sweet aroma to God, or a stench in His nostrils?
We all go through dry times in our walk with the Lord. That dryness can be a result of unconfessed sin. That's why we need to ask God whether any issue is keeping us separated from Him.
But spiritual dry spells can also be God’s way of revealing what’s in our hearts. Are we worshiping Him because of the sensation it gives us or just because He is worthy of worship?
And then God, sometimes, I think, allows us to go through dry times just to let us love and worship Him by faith.
Job gives us an example of responding by faith, even when you're feeling dry. He said, “When he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. . . . I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.”
