How I came up with “In love”, my debut album:
After my car wreck, I realized that God knows what is best and our way of thinking is not is His way of thinking. At that point I decided not to be depressed and to observe each day to look at all the blessing that God has given and cherish the love of those that love me. Love and hate are both eternal. You have to choose LOVE. Therefore I rekindled my love for music and life, the gifts that God gave back to me.
- Born a twin on Feb. 10
- Native of Little Rock, AR to Alvin and Elise West
- Named after Radio DJ on oldie station
- Been singing since age of five in church choir and talent shows
- Started entering and winning talent shows at the age of nine
- Played basketball, football, and track and field in HS also sung in top choir of the school and got academic scholarship to UCA
- My music career started by someone telling me that “I can’t do it”
- Gospel background… shared stage with Kim Burrell and Deitrick Haddon before singing R&B
