Influences
We draw from many bands to try and find a unique sound.
These are just a few of them:
Sounds Like
"a well-thought-out mix of Alternative-Rock and melody making for an instantly familiar and likable sound that, thanks to some intelligent lyrics and sharp guitar work, has some real depth." Steven Hudyba, BBC
Alright guys!
Well with countless line-up changes, fall outs and lack of organisation Search Ends Here had its final line-up by the end of March 07.
We have more than made up for lost time though with the first EP, titled Long Time Coming (2007), already released and new songs already on the way.
Things are now focused on getting 'out there' and getting into peoples heads. We have played a few gigs locally and have lots more planned for 2008
So have a look around, take a listen to the songs, and maybe pop into a gig sometime.
We'll see you on the dancefloor!!
We've finished recording our debut E.P, entitled:
The tracklist is as follows:
1. Waiting
2. Don't Worry Baby, It's Your Loss Anyway
3. Cherry Genoa
4. Jason (Never Forget)
5. Fine Wines And Rare Spirits
The E.P costs £2.50, which works out as 50p per song... BARGAIN! They can be bought at any of our gigs

Reviews by Steven Hudyba of the BBC:
"Next up were Nottingham based quintet Search Ends Here. Their sound is a well-thought-out mix of Alternative-Rock and melody making for an instantly familiar and likable sound that, thanks to some intelligent lyrics and sharp guitar work, has some real depth. Sophie’s got a great vocal, powerful and emotive, it works perfectly with their sound and she makes an excellent front-woman – charismatically coaxing the crowd to get more involved. On the night they stoodout on the merit of some well-written material and a tight engaging performance – quickly establishing themselves as a favorite with the Wednesday night crowd."
"Next up was Nottingham based five-piece Search Ends Here. A distinctive vocally driven Rock sound – they’ve got a strong direction which really works for them and within which they have written some memorable tracks that are full of Pop-Punk energy and tender Alt-Rock emotion. It was a tight, engaging set all-round and they got (once again) a deservedly enthusiastic response – a feat made even more impressive by the fact bassist Phil has been with them for just two weeks. They’ve definitely got potential and it should be interesting to see how they get on in the next stage of the festival."
"In what was a somewhat welcome change of pace to the predominately Metal based bands of the evening was the Alternative-Rock soundings of Nottingham’s Search Ends Here. They’ve got the energy and hooks often found in youthful Pop-Punk yet there’s some real intelligence and emotional depth in their lyrics and a complexity in arrangements that ensures they are anything but another average Pop-Punk band. They have an all-round strong stage presence, especially the modest charm of front woman Sophie, and sounded better than ever booming out the Barfly’s impressive sound system."
