Sounds Like
What you'll want to listen to, time and time again.
In the fall of 2006 at Northwestern College in Roseville, MN., five men came together to produce the catchy and uplifting sound of "Searching For North." Heavily inspired by deep lyrics, moving guitar rhythms, and driving keyboard accompaniment, Searching For North strives to provide heart-felt music to which all can relate and be inspired.
After recording their 6-song EP in January, the band had a few changes come their way and brought in Andrew on bass guitar. Now on track to debut some new songs (now listed on myspace above) in upcoming shows, SFN hopes that the newer sound that is being developed is taken well...after all, the band likes it, so why shouldn't you? :) It is a sound that is easy to listen to, easy to sing along with, and most of all, it is filled lyrics that you can relate to. "You're Not Alone" captures the heart of the listener with lyrics that grab you and remind you of a time, maybe not so long ago, when you too felt alone. It is a song of hope, in that we are all in the same boat together, some just find the shore sooner than others.
Frontman Joel Onyshuk repeatedly emphasizes to the band and to those he speaks, "I think the most important thing for us is to keep a humble attitude in all we do. Everything we do is a gift of God. Our gifts and abilities were given to us by Him. We can't take credit for any of this. If this all passes by and we never play again, it has been worth it."

SFN has made it to the 3rd round of the music tournament at Club 3 Degrees and will be performing on Friday March 21st at Club 3 Degress. Shades of Gray and Flightline will also be performing. SFN will be performing 3rd. Everybody that can come out to support them should. It will mean alot to the guys to see familiar faces. If they do not make it to the finals in April this will more than likely be their last live performance. Come and rock with SFN one more time. If you have never seen them live, your missing out and at Club 3 Degrees SFN WILL ROCK THE HOUSE!!!!!!!
