About me: .....
I love my family! My partner, Kim & I have been together 10 years and our son, Khaya Ray Searcy was born in December of 2005! He is the greatest little person I have ever met and I am honored to be his parent. Unfortunately, the state of Alabama does not recognize me as his legal parent. I cannot make medical or educational decisions for him and I am not legally bonded to him in any way even though he does have my last name.
I was denied parental rights in May of 06 without even a home visit strictly because of our sexual orientation.
It is very discouraging, but I believe that the laws will one day change, even here in Alabama, It has to. We're a family and that's just the way it is. I have since become very involved with Bay Area Inclusion (BAI) CommUNITY Action Alliance and became chair in October of 2007. It is important that we all come together and show the state that families of all kinds exist and should be celebrated and protected.

Hola! Haven't seen yall in a very long time and just wanted to say hello. I hope little mr. Khaya is doing well and so are you and Kim. I think about yall often, even if I don't get to see you! Love and hugs!!
Excerpt: "Mommies ride bikes and conquer the flu. They keep on the fridge the things that you drew. Mommies jump on trampolines and plant gardens too. They sing your favorite songs with you! Oh the things mommies do! What could be better than having two?"
If you are reading this - You can experience true inner peace. Right now
In this very moment There is no-thing required of you No “where” you have to go No “tomorrow” to worry about And no bills to be paid right now
In this space there is Nothing you need to do Other than to be who you are Right now Doing what you do Exactly as you do it
By my account, what we consider “time” is made up of an infinite amount of these moments and they are forever present for us to take notice. Within each of these moments we are always connected and collectively experiencing life as one. Wishing you a beautiful weekend! ~R~

Set in an all-male school, the story follows Timothy who suffers the wrath of his homophobic classmates. He withdraws into his imagination where macho rugby players morph into dancing fairies decked in go-go boy attire. When asked to star in the school play he first balks at acting. As Timothy eventually embraces the mischievous character of Puck, he finds the secret to a magical pansy that seems to turn people gay! He then puckishly imposes a new reality by turning much of his narrow-minded town gay, beginning with the rugby-jock of his dreams.
One Night Only limited seating available $10 advance, $12 day of event Students and SHOUT members are always $7
