Following up on its fresh-sounding debut EP Oceans Away, Season Pass released its brand spanking new, full-length album Galaxy, at Parachute Music Festival in January.
The notable duo Matt Chapman and Evan Cooper, former songwriters and members of successful international band Detour180, have developed their acoustic flavour that featured in Oceans Away by producing a full band album, complete with cameo appearances. Enlisting the services of musicians from popular Christian bands Mumsdollar and Zebulun, Galaxy boasts a sound that embraces both the aggressive and the intimate.
The style change reflects the musical depth of the group, without forgoing the trademark song writing quality that has epitomised Chapman and Cooper in the past five years.
“With this album we wanted to move beyond our acoustic approach to music and to develop both the colour and the themes of the songs,” says Chapman.
The songs explore pertinent life issues, from betrayal to self-awareness, loneliness to love – all underpinned by faith and hope. Season Pass has kept it real in their song writing and they hope listeners can appreciate the songs in context.

Hey guys, it was cool tenting with you at parachute, even tho we didn't get to chat that much (the atmoshpere was all there!) Will have to catch up one day with the whole crew.
