About me:

The music scene in Seattle is ever changing. New faces, new songs, new venues. But at the heart of it all is the love for the experience. Whether you're a musician, songwriter, booker, photographer or fan, there's a need to be in the moment. The moment when you hear that one song that stays with you for the week. The moment when that cute girl from the coffee shop gets on stage and makes you swoon. The moment when you know you're in a town that supports its music.

Trying to keep tabs on the active music scene here isn't easy, but we sure do try. Our music blog, Reverb, features upcoming shows, shows from last night, slideshows, album reviews, and blogs from John Roderick of The Long Winters and Duff McKagan of Velvet Revolver. We've even got Krist Novoselic contributing on The Daily Weekly. A weekly version of the Reverb blog and Short List Calendar is sent out every Friday to our Music Newsletter subscribers. And then every month or so, Reverb comes to life with a FREE local music showcase. Previous shows have included Feral Children, The Blakes, The Cave Singers and Visqueen. And all of these culminate into the largest local music festival in Seattle, REVERB. This annual event takes place in Ballard in October.
