Hi There,....I am on Facebook as Darren Hakenson, but not "Hurricane Ridge".....Thanks for getting back to me on this....It's a great cause. The Camano Animal Shelter (C.A.S.A.) has really taken a hit this year. Many people who were financial donors in previous years were not in the position to help as much this year due to the failing economy. It's a nice package of good music that features the incredible wealth of talent we have here on Camano Is. The more people we can make aware of this c.d. the more chances there are to raise much needed funds for the shelter. We are planning to have a release party at Gerry Andel's in Stanwood. The exact date has not been set but I will keep you in the loop as things develope. Have a great day....And keep warm (Bbbrrrrrrr!!!)
Hi There, This is not a new page....I'll bet the page you are thinking of is the "Hurricane Ridge" site. That's the myspace where Norm Peterson and I post our recordings. Speaking of that, I really like the fact that you post music from local artists on your page. It's a great way to support the music community. Norm and I just finished producing a c.d. of songwriters from Camano Island that is set to release sometime in the next month. We are giving all proceeds to the local animal shelter. Would you consider placing a link on your page? Let me know......Darren...
Did I mention Union Jack at Bender's Renton Fri Oct 23rd and Fabulous Johnsons at Henry's Switch (Lk Wilderness Golf country club) in Maple Valley also Friday Oct 23rd!? Hmmm, I will have to go to them both!
I was going to take a moment to suggest the Angela Hammontree Band on Friday November 6 at Hayley's, but here you have the flyer already posted! Thanks so much! Your support is so greatly appreciated.
For those who haven't heard my originals (I also sing for classic rock cover band Rock Steady), it is hard-driving yet melodic rock 'n' roll!
Hope to see some of you Halloween night for Rock Steady at the Redhook Brewery in Woodinville, and Fri. Nov. 6 for AHB at Hayley's! Have fun and keep rocking!
