Seaworthy is influenced by Sonic Youth, Houston, Jawbox, GlassJaw, Sunny Day Real Estate, Shiner, Helmet, Nirvana, Explosions in the sky, Rage Against the Machine, Murder by Death, Someday I, Swervedriver, Hum, At The Drive-In, Propagandhi, Kick In Emergency. The sounds of industry taking place of fields in the once vast midwestern plains of Illinois, the hum and delirious din made by the ever increasing replicating man.
Sounds Like
Loud, dirty, swanky guitars, over swift drumming and segmented bass-lines. Unpolished, raw, disrespectful, dissonant, defiant, and bloody fun. Sometimes dreamy, sometimes nightmare, balls out and balls in, melodic and intense, not writing a new book but always genuine. An easy going unit of best friends.
We are a four piece rock outfit from the Midwest. Rob. Neil. Pierce. Don. Our music is the culmination of all of our passions, emotions, experiences, beliefs, dreams, influences, and personalities. Seaworthy is the pulled together effort of years of frustration, simple song writing, angst, and a longing to play personal, meaningful, honest songs for people who might care to hear something genuine. We came together in the Summer of 2006 when Neil (Neil) and I (Rob) met. I had a few songs and a direction I wanted to go, Neil had some songs and a direction he wanted to go, and over the course of a six hour rehearsal, we crafted a couple of tunes. The direction we were heading was the same. I said we'll need a good drummer. Neil said, I got a guy. Enter Pierce (Pierce)
Peirce came down from Minn. for a marathon sesh which lasted 5 days and that is when Seaworthy was finally christened. Don is the newest mate, bringing another creative mind to the table, as well as guitar and effects, vox, and amazing work ethic.
The songs.....Loud, crisp guitars....clear, warm vocals....brutally honest lyrics....segmented bass lines that carry....solid, epic drumming that is not over done.
All together the music is loud, intense, intricate but simple, moving, raw, angular, dissonant, and bloody savory. We think so anyway, and we hope you find that this description honestly portrays our sound. The name Seaworthy had been around for much longer as a solo recording project but seemed to fit the desperate leitmotif of the songs. Thanks for listening. Now don't be strangers, we sure as shit won't be.
Hey everybody, I've updated the song list..... 3 new tunes on my page, one is a demo for my arrangement of stardust and the other two are origional tunes written by my good friend "Golden" Molden Pickett. Molden is the drummer for 3 bands in town, a keyboard player and singer. We recorded them using mycheap MLX microphones, a half broken KORG digital audio workstation that I'm using for a mic pre, sending it into my computer and recording to the consumer version of Sony Acid, routing sound through a consumer home stereo giving power to boston accoustic speakers. Monkeyrigged would be a good way to describe my setup.......
at my janitor job at the school I go in to see when the kids dont flush and I look at their poop... mostly, and I say MOSTLY, their turds all have a thin coating of butterscotch around them... why is this? Is it the Mexican food here?
well thanks! it only took me a few years to figure this myspace thing out, thats all...can't wait to come to DeKalb and hang out I MISS YOU GUYS!!

Look hun,
sorry about that I must have told you the wrong one.
That's funny because I tried that one a while ago too, the one I gave you, and it made me all crazy because they sucked real bad, and they didn't pay too good either they offered like contests and stuff instead of cash.
But anyways, the correct site is
R E A D Y 1 2 . C O M
it's the one I am pulling in $700 a week with putting in about 23 hours a week, sometimes up to like 30 hours if I'm motivated.
After you get your membership make sure you sign up with with the companies on page one in the members section because they are the ones that pay the big bucks, I got $50 for one that took me 45 minutes today. You'll see what I'm rambling about when you start.
Daisy started taking them too and she's making $850 a week, it's making me so mad because I'm the one that showed her which one to sign up with now she's making more than me.
Alright well me and Jake are getting ready to leave now, just give me a call or I'll see you on here and let me know if you have any problems with your membership. bye now
