Hello Seb. How is Singapore treating you these days?

Here it is HOT but comparing to backhome in Europe where it has been almost as hot and WITHOUT or limited air conditioning, I would say the weather is a breeze overhere.

I'm looking forward to some weeks of holidays soon.

Cheers

Thank you so much about the invite!!
I have a good one for you: today I voted for the Irish general election and at work they all told me all day that it was for Irish people only.
My point: know your rights and duties, make it your business to find out what you are entitled to and what your duties are no matter the country.
If I would have been ignorant to the place I live in, my polling card would have gone to waste

Nath :-)

Hello there and thanks for finding me.

I'm living the expat life since 9 years. First year was in Vienna, Austria and the other eight here in Dubai, UAE. I see more of this for the future, no regrets though.

You are French, right?

expop,
greetings. thanks for the invite. so, were you born in the usa, like the springsteen song:)? you say: new york, london, etc. so presume new york is birthplace. expat life is interesting. my thoughts are that the place where you grow up in the first "3 months of life" (i have this theory that human life can be broken down into periods of 7 years, such as:
0-7 Period 1
8-14 Period 2
15-21 Period 3
22-28 Period 4
29-35 Period 5
36-42 Period 6
43-49 Period 7
50-56 Period 8
57-63 Period 9
64-70 Period 10
71-77 Period 11
78-84 Period 12

Each period refers to a month in the earth calendar. Therefore the first 3 periods are Spring, the next 3 Summer, etc.

So, the place you spend most of your time in the Spring years, is your true home. Not to say, that your adoptive home countries do not play an important part in shaping your character, or contributing to you as a whole person.

my Sring was spent in southern california, and no matter what happens there, more 24 lane freeways, a million more illegal immigrants, stronger earthquakes, or bad american social and foreign policy.. nothing will ever change that. our adoptive homes offer our soul an alternative exploration outside our comfort zone. the adoptive places are challenging and even distressing at times, but overall enriching. most expats i meet are generally more well-rounded people, less judgmental, and more willing to express true liberty, which often gets usurped by national, religious, or racial stigmas.

all the best to you fellow pangaea traveler.
Chev!!
