Music is known as the soundtack to our lives (Wall, 2003). It can be heard on the radio, on our stereos, through the speakers of our stereos, the headphones from our mp3 players and can be recognisable on the screens of our televisions. Like the soundtrack to a film, it plays an important part in cultivating our moods and feelings. The concept of music can inspire everyday thoughts and emotions. To me music holds a simple soundwave that hypnotises the human spirit and takes me to a whole new world. The perception of sound I partake in becomes a psyhcological doorway which catches me from reality and lets me go to a paradox of my own dreams. These dreams inspire me to create my own form of music. The choice of genre is electronic; a form of music that basis its ideology on synthetic sounds.
I was born during the 1980's, surrounded by the sounds of european electro-pop, new wave and synthetic rock. Listening to such pieces of music, I soon became a fan of the electronic music genre. Upon becoming a fan I became familiar with the genre's original pioneers. From listening to such works by Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis, I envisioned a universe of synthetic sounds; a galaxy that contain stars of analogue quavers. Such intake of dreams remain to inspire me to incorporate and share my own visions when using the synthesizer; a iconography of modern and future electro music. Through instrumental music I choose to create audio dramatic sequences through instrumental music, using the synthesizer as a metaphoric brush to paint psychological paintings.
Recently I have proceeded to expand the basis of my creativity, taking the concept of technocratic music and mixing it as well as working with various other forms including ambience, rock and orchestral. In 2007 I enrolled to University Campus Suffolk as a student of film & media, however I hope to achieve a professional career in composition for film music so any opportunity for experience whether student, independent or other form of film, television or documentary project, would be highly appreciated.
