Second Alpha was formed as a collaboration between Daniel Nass and Daniel Peach after they held a shitty techno music competition which failed miserably, and they decided they'd be better off working together. The band, named after keys on a TI-84 Plus graphing calculator, was an instant hit. Luke Paulino quickly signed on as a lead vocalist and together they began making their brand of sloppy, satirical covers of today's popular songs. With collaborators like renowned guitarist David Storch, Second Alpha quickly rose to prominence. The band encounters creative conflicts now and then (because Luke is a bitch) but when the creative juices get flowing they are an unstoppable force of creative wizardry. Unfortunately, the layered and complex nature of their songs (along with Luke's inability to sing for more than ten minutes without his voice cracking horribly) makes live performances impossible, but Second Alpha is committed to putting out as much quality studio material as they humanly can without overloading the internet.
"The year is still young, but it will take some sort of miraculous effort to unseat this one as the best album of 2008. " - Andy Whitman of Paste Magazine
