This profile is for anyone interested in saving animals from euthanasia by proactively promoting free spaying and neutering of animals in Maricopa County, Arizona (eventually to take on the country!).
We also foster shelter animals, give animals a second chance after rehabilitation, and provide information on low cost vaccinations.
We have a picture section of our available kittens and cats rescued from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control & Pima Animal Control Center (in Tucson). As often as we have space as are COMPLETELY foster run (we do not have a physical shelter as we never want our animals caged again), we pull cats and kittens from the dreaded euthanasia list. We bring these animals home, despite medical issues, behavioral issues, and many other issues, and love them as our own. We have recently joined a nonprofit registered organization as their cat division! Hooray! We are now officially part of FINDING FIDO, see all their animals on www.petfinder.com
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, FELV/FIV test, and a microchip (cuz who is kidding, 80% of the "strays" at the shelter are someone's beloved pet at some point). The adoption fee for kittens is $95. If we have had an animal for a long time or a "senior" kitty, they may be eligible for "Lonely Hearts" which is a lesser fee to help them get a home sooner.

For those of you who remember "Dexter - the Thanksgiving kitten" he is doing well. He was set on fire on thanksgiving day and then was turned into animal control. The individuals who did this to him were never brought to justice. You can read his complete story in our blog. We love him dearly and are so thankful for him in our lives.

If you are in Az and need to have your animal spayed or neutered, go to either Maricopa Animal Care and Control cetners and get a form for the BIG FIX. That way you can have it done for FREE! Please spread the word, let's stop euthanasia in Az by being proactive!
We are always in need of donations,
We can use:
paper towels
blankets
cleaning supplies (bleach based to kill disease)
clumping cat litter
wet and dry kitten food (we've had good luck with nutro max and nine lives)
kitten toys, collars, beds etc
Dog crates and kennels
Cat/dog carriers
and just about anything else you can think of we can probably use
Any supplies that we are stocked on we share with the many other rescues we regularly work with! (our dog other half appreciates all dog food and dog supplies as well of course!)
We are completely volunteer and donations run. Our adoption fees never cover all the work we do to save these animals' lives. Frequently despite the best vet care we do lose animals as well and please always keep them in your thoughts and prayers >^..^<

Name away! I only have Smudge named because of his smudge on his chin..I know creative! and the Momma is Ebony...I think! lol There is another bk/wt male and the rest are mostly while with grey/black marks on their heads but they all look alike 3girls 1boy.

Hi! Just stopping by to say hello. Finally have a chance to get caught up on comments.
Mommy & Daddy had to go to Michigan to a wedding last weekend. I stayed with a friend and Chuy and Rory stayed home with the kitties and a petsitter stayed at the house with them. She was real nice and spent the night and everything!
Chuy is still sick, he goes back to the doctor on Thursday for more x-rays. After that we find out if he has to go to the cancer doctor or what. :( Mommy is still real sad, but she is staying strong for Chuy. He tries to play, mom keeps him as quiet as she can though. He can't go for walks cuz the vet said so. Poor guy! I've been playing more and more with Rory, gotta keep him outta trouble!
We are finally getting our Arizona room finished this week. The man is getting the tile done today and then tomorrow he is going to finish the lighting and stuff. We can't wait!!! We got new rugs so Chuy doesn't slip on the tile when he comes in from the back yard. It will be nice and cool to lay on it in the summer though.
We are keeping all of our furriends in our prayers and hoping that you are all doing well.
