About me: Bands have made the encore just another part of the set, its lost its meaning and true appeal as most of the time you know that whether you clap or not the band are coming back onstage - normally to play the singles they 'saved' from the main gig for the encore.
Why? because they knew they were going to come back - which completely goes against what an encore is, it is like leaving a tip before you have eaten a meal.
So why clap at the end of a gig if you already know the band are coming back onstage regardless - you might as well save your energy and try and get them out for a second encore that they have not planned for.
If enough of you cheer, clap, chant and scream for a second encore how can they not?.
The aim of the campaign! To make bands rethink why do they do encores at every gig, shouldn't it be something special saved for great gigs and awesome crowds?
Who I'd like to meet: The whole campaign is about you - the fan. So get involved and show bands / artists that you will no longer settle for a third rate encore, but are you making your voice heard in the hope of changing things for the better. So spread the word to your friends and get them involved in the campaign as the more people calling for a Second Encore the more likely the band is to respond positively.
Second Encore is a great way to meet new people that have the same passion for music as you, so why not meet some new friends on our forum and arrange to meet at a gig.

Hi, we wanted to let everyone know that as of October 2008, God Love You For A Liar will be known as The Guilty Hands. This myspace will cease to be active shortly.
If you're getting more into facebook these days (and who can blame you???), go to facebook groups and search for "The Guilty Hands", and you'll get all our gig and release information there.
We're really excited about the new songs we have. If you're excited too, please join us over the other side. If you were a kind of random friend, why not have a quick listen to the songs and clips on the new myspace and see if you get excited about us too. Can't hurt to have a go, can it?
Entry is £5 and we're onstage at 10 (doors 8-1.30).
In the meantime, visit our profile to hear a 1 minute clip of new song "Gregory and the Birds", produced by Gareth Parton (Foals / Kills / Go! Team). We can pretty much guarantee you'll hear all of it at the gig...
Hi, you're receiving this comment because you are on our friends list AND we believe you either live in London or live close enough to get there for a gig. Please let me know if this not true and we will remove you from the list.
Anyway, we have a gig this Friday 4th April at the Miller, near London Bridge. We're onstage at 9.30pm and entry is £5 with a flyer.
