Second Sound Music and Entertainment was established back in 1974 when the Bay City Rollers, Slade, Gary Glitter and the Sweet were all in the charts. Back in those days sound to light technology ruled and Disco’s offered very basic entertainment services. Today Second Sound Music & Entertainment is able to offer a professional port folio of music and entertainment services to a demanding public.
Having spent 15 years broadcasting on Hospital Radio stations and years as a DJ Jonathan Spooner has established his stage name of "DJ Spoony" having acquired the professional entertainment skills that are required to ensure that your event will be a success enabling you to relax and enjoy your special event. Second Sound specialise in 70's, 80's, 90's music with over 6000 mp3 music tracks always available. They blend CD’s, digital and MP3 music tracks with jingles and links to ensure that the flow of music is always maintained. In fact if we played just their MP3 music tracks back to back the music would play non stop for 2 years.
Equipment - Many mobile disco’s promise much but in reality generally deliver very little. The problem being that most people base who they book purely on what they charge. This is highly risky and from experience normally leads to disappointment and a spoilt event. Why spend £1000's on a wedding only to have some cheap disco spoil the evening’s entertainment for you? Many mobile disco DJ’s just don’t have the experience to deliver what is required. Second Sound Music & Entertainment don’t simply play music we entertain people and create an atmosphere. This takes experience and practice. We use the following equipment; Kam Radio mic system, Argon green and ruby red laser's, DMX light show, 1000 watt stereo sound system, snow machine, fog machine, DMX scanner light show, MP3 sound server, professional digital mixer, mirror ball, oil wheel projectors, video back projection system, CD system, and loads more.
We also provide a DVD film service. Based upon 5 or more people requesting the service we will produce an un-edited DVD of your evenings celebrations, party or wedding disco to remind you in the future of the great time you had. If required to do so we can run games, competitions, and ensure that everybody is fully engaged in the celebrations and enjoys themselves’. This can be a hard thing to achieve at weddings because families normally have never met each other and may be feeling a little nervous and tired from the events of the day. So clearly you can see that Second Sound Music & Entertainment delivers more than just music. To be successful in life requires a plan, and selecting and booking your Disco is no different.
Second Sound Music & Entertainments wants you to enjoy your event. Planning an event can be stressful so our objective is to remove the stress as early as possible. As part of service we operate a booking process that is designed to remove confusion and ensure that your event is a success with everybody.
Firstly - we ask you to complete a booking request form which helps us to better understand what type of entertainment service you require. At this stage generally we are able to provide a quotation for providing the Music and Entertainment services.
Secondly - Should you wish to engage our services we will arrange with the customer a site meeting to inspect the venue and check out all the technical stuff such as access to the venue, power , sound monitoring systems etc. Once we have completed the site visit we will discuss with the customer whether they have any special music requirements. Its always possible to play customers own music should they wish any special tracks to be aired. Finally - Following our visit to inspect the party or wedding venue and customer meeting we will confirm in writing any special arrangements that may have been agreed and ensure that the Music & Entertainment scheduled for the event will delight to everyone.

A lot can happen in a couple of weeks. We've had over 400 users to join up since our launch. We've also had Virgin Radio and Channel 4 radio join us in Party Portal, giving you some of the best music in UK, available at the click of the mouse.
Our forums hace had a lot of threads posted so why not join in on them, or even start a thread of your own! As said earlier, a lot can happen in a couple of weeks, and over the next two, we hope to bring you the club databse in party portal. This will provide you with a complete listing of UK nightclubs, letting you know whats happening, when and where all over the country!
