The 25
written for facebook February 8, 2009
1. I'm currently downloading Breakfast at Tiffany's on iTunes. I already own the movie, but I figured it would be a good one to have digitally as well.
2. Most recently, even though I've been complimented on my grammar before, when I write I will capitalize words that technically should remain lowercase. An example of this: "Love."
3. I can memorize things, pretty well I think, but my actually memory is kind've bad. Anything before my Sophomore year of High School is mostly a blur, and even afterwards is fading, but I know my times tables from 3rd Grade because I learned them to melodies.
4. I've already written the above once before, but at this point I accidentally navigated away from the page, so I lost it and had to write it all again. I'm pretty sure I missed something.
5. Anyone who's ridden in the passenger seat of my vehicle knows that I'm an Automobile Singer. Please, if you want to talk, save it for when we get to our destination; because I might be paying attention, but I won't be as talkative as when I'm not singing loudly while driving.
6. On that note: I always have something to say, and I can say a lot.
7. Contrary to popular belief, I'm actually not that cool. Yes, unfortunately, I'm a loser.
8. I used to believe that I was good at giving advice. With experience though, I've actually learned that God has given me a different - albeit similar - gift. I'm actually good at "Putting Things Into Perspective."
9. I've become a very avid Movie fan, so much so that I've become the "Movie Guy" at work, and probably elsewhere. Interestingly enough, some of my favorite movies aren't the ones with complicated plots, or even "Best Picture" contenders; in fact, they are simply movies that make me feel oh-so-good when I watch them. Some examples that come to mind: A Knight's Tale, and Peter Pan (2003 version).
10. Most of my good friends know that my future plans, when I get out of the Navy, is to go to the University of Texas and major in Theatre Arts; in an attempt to eventually get into motion pictures. What most people DON"T know, though, is that I didn't get into acting until Sophomore year during Show Choir. Until then, I had no idea I could act...actually...I'm STILL not sure, but we'll see yeah?
11. During worship, you'll find me in the back dancing like no other. Strangely enough, I've been told that people love the way I worship multiple times; of course, this is not why I do it...just sayin.
12. I don't drink coffee, yet I love the atmosphere in the Barnes and Noble. If I'm found drinking something, it's usually a Mocha Frapp, and I when bored I will browse that store no matter how many times I've already been there that week.
13. I'm actually a really romantic person. You just don't know it yet.
14. I have an abnormally large amount of moles on my body. Not the disgusting ones, but the ones that could be considered, as my mother calls them, "beauty marks."
15. I know HOW to play the drums, guitar, bass, violin, and keyboard. I just...well...can't. Except that last one, I'm learning.
16. I somehow temporarily inherit the mannerisms of those around me, mostly how they speak; especially if it's not common. I believe this makes me a good character actor, as I am able to take on various personalities, while always retaining who I am. Unintentionally, I also do this when I witness a particularly powerful performance.
17. No, I don't know what you did differently to yourself, and I definitely don't know what your eye color is. I may sound contradicting right now to previous facts, but I assure you, I am NOT that observant.
18. I own a Jeep Wrangler that's not a 4x4. Why? Because it's an SUV that can go without a top or even doors of course!! Plus, I didn't have enough money. So sue me.
19. I do creative writing/roleplaying on a website called rpgchat.com. I wouldn't know where to begin when explaining it to you, but we'll count it as Random anyway.
20. So what if I wear the same pair of pants for a week before cleaning them? At least I change my underwear, socks, and shirt every day.
21. York Peppermint Patties. Need I say more?
22. It's funny, now that I think about it, but I suppose I really had no idea what I wanted in life for my first couple of years out of High School. Or maybe I just didn't know who I was. Either way, things are obviously very different now.
23. Not so random, but I have a monthly newsletter that I send out via email to everyone on my contacts list. It's just strange overall, but I suppose it's helped me keep connections before Social Networking became the norm. If you didn't know this before hand and feel left out, then please send me your email and you too can be included.
24. I'm a sucker for a good smile. I'm particular about what is "good", so it's rare, but when I do witness one it's so fantastic I can't even describe how it makes me feel.
25. I hesitate to say this, because when it comes to relationships one never knows where they will end up, but I suppose it's my dream to marry a dancer. I blame this on my stepsisters, because of them I found such a new appreciation for dance that it's become so beautiful to me, and I don't know exactly why.

(These are all real, and have not been edited in any way. Each is taken in it's entirety, and in some cases were used without permission. Yes: they are about me, and what better way to tell you than through the words of those that know me. Enjoy.)

The way i would describe him is the same way he described me one day..."BROTHER"... he likes to help people with all there problems, he's a little guy (haha), and he like music and God...he is a bit of a character, he likes video and photography, he is pretty fast and athletic but i could still whip his butt ;), and he is a really great guy whom all should want to get to know even if he is a bit big-headed.
J.D. Willey:: (myspace)
What can a man say about someone who has given so much to others without a selfish thought for himself? I can tell you what it is, you tell everyone that he was what I would call a great man; a man who has my utmost respect and will have it even beyond the day that they lay me to rest. Matt was a person who always followed the moral code faith, family, then friends I may have been in last place, but it always felt like I was first. I can only imagine what God must have felt like from him. The world may never learn of anything deemed "great" from Matt, but his spirit is good will be transferred to each person that he's touched emotionally; then those will share it with others, and they shall continue into a never-ending cycle. So Matt's body may be buried, his soul in heaven, but here on Earth he is with us always. Amen.

Youre an awesome actor, and you are really creative when it comes to thinking of scenes and different ways it can be done. Youre the greatest person when it comes to videos and chopping them and puttin them back together... well the greatest person Ive ever met. Oh yeah, don't forget that you're always chasing after God, and i admire the fact that you're following His will while going into the navy.
Lauren Bollich:: (myspace)

Ellen::(myspace)
Matt, I barely know you.. but I do know that you're on your way and no one's gonna stop you.
Ashleigh::(myspace)
You're a pretty cool guy, very philisophical in a way. I haven't known you for too long, but I enjoy hanging with you or talking to you when I get the chance. I wish that I could've gotten to know you better in all honesty. I don't know why. But I do. And I feel the need to say that I think you're hiding something from the world. I could be wrong... but it's just a feeling.
Brandon Davis::(myspace)
You...[and Thomas] are like the best things to come out of Texas.
Nyna::(myspace)
so when i saw what other people wrote it got me thinking... this is mattias... hmm... some of them are so.. philosophical and blah blah blah. so my definition of mattias: an amazing character. you either hate him, or you love him. he is one of the funniest people i know, actually. he is all himself. never tries to be anyone else. he has an insane amount of maturity, but can be really immature, but what kind of guy isn't immature with his friends? for some reason, even if he barely knows you, he knows when something is wrong, and that's a hard characteristic to find. if there were more mattias marasigan's in the world, i think things would be so much smoother. considering how caring he is for his close friends and even not so close ones, he seems to me to be one of the most carefree guys i know. he lives his life to it's fullest, no doubt [taking a random trip to new york for new years] and lives it with every ounce of passion he has. that, to me, is mattias marasigan. [he also thinks he can fight anyone. haha. if only you could have seen him and MJ "prepping" in MJ's front yard to fight a boy.] <---- there's the crazy side. :P
Andrea Beth::
In my future i want you to be that man in my life, the one i love and come home to, your the only man i see in my future, the outside appearance of being extremly tall or whatever has completely gone out the window and its not to compromise. Your heart and your character, your personality and passion have captured my heart and i cant imagine a life without you. Your creativity and your taste and view on things, life, ppl, have always left me out of breath. Your amazing and you have the biggest heart ever. Your breath taking, mind stopping and just someone who leaves me with my eyes wide and mouth open because of all the amazing things you say and do, you take risks and you think big. I love that about you.
Courtney Hamilton/Wimberly::
That totally makes sense. I have never heard a guy talk like that! You know you have the emotional intellect of a girl; which is extremely rare in the male gender. I work with a guy to girl ratio of 10 to 1 and the thought of hanging out with other navy wives is simply repulsive to me...So almost all of my friends are guys. Trust me, 95% of you guys are all basically the same when being completely honest.
you must be part of the 5%.
Joseph Lopez::
Dude, there's no other way to say this. You are f--in awesome!
Baylea Wagener::
I've come to learn, that when he likes something- you will know, when he doesnt like something- you will really know
Brooke Bure::
You are so beautifully cocky.
