With influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Pink Floyd, and The Who to A Perfect Circle, our sound is a unique blend of musical masterpieces; the resulting sound is something fairly heavy yet melodic at the same time.
The Second Wave are an alternative rock band from Nottingham, taking influence mainly from the classic rock bands, but also from some alternative and metal bands. Each of the band members brings a different sound to the band, making the result something quite unique and not to be taken lightly.
With their first album "You Gotta Be Different" under their belt, and after gigging around the midlands on a weekly basis at such venues as Rock City, Junktion 7, The Old Angel and The Diamond, The Second Wave recorded their second offering; "The Revolution EP", a collection of tracks much better than those on their first album, and then sadly departed after 3 years of playing together, having an amazing time... big up to all the people who came to see us, took one of our free CD's, and supported us all along.

The Second Wave is not a band at the moment, however one day we may return, currently all of the band members are persuing other projects.
Matt and Lewis are now in their new band; Alternative female-fronted rock outfit "Eye of the Butterfly". We'd really appreciate it if you'd add us and listen to our tunes.
Adam and Tim are playing with Alt. Rock band "13th Hour" who have achieved alot of success in the past few months playing venues like the Barfly to Rock City.
