And many more, all straight to your heart & soul. As a reminiscence of dirty sub-urb sidewalks, lipstick traces, suspender belts and 10 000 bars under the polluted sea… Who the fuck are they? Tom (Voice and Guitar), Lukas (Guitar and Voice) and legendary bass killer Marko - they all played together before in self-destructive post-punk band Balkan Beat + Haloun (the magnifique drummer), that..s your Secret 9 Beat. They..re influenced by early Stones, garage rock, The Stooges, Velvet Underground, Richard Hell, Johnny Thunders, Phil Spector, The Fall, Hank Williams, Ramones, Sham The Sham & Pharaons, Suicide, Girl groups, Blues Explosion, Sonic Youth or even Primal Scream and that gutter UpTown R..N..B, that they know so (even too much) well. They try (and I have to say that very succesfully) to get beyond the horizons of those influences to create new raw and nervous songs. Their lyrics use dadaistic pirouettes, cut-ups and B-movie lines. Antonin Artaud meets the Avengers in Akham asylum in Gotham city. What they want?! Well as The Cramps said – „All I wanna do is join the happy crowd behind the green door". What else to say? Let speak William S.
