    .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... Jay and Eric spent the summer of 2007 drinking 8-ounce cans of beer and playing old-timey country music on their banged-up acoustic guitars. The duo soon began writing their own songs about whiskey, loose women, hard drugs, soft drugs, and hot dogs. Over the next year Jay and Eric played a number of backyards, taverns, and porches, then decided it was time to fill out the lineup. Joe, Matt, Tim, and Yan joined the party in 2008 and so became Secret Country..... Secret Country’s songs are bulging with harmonized hooks, searing riffs, and outlandish fiddlin’. Their frenzied live show is a fantastic blur of dancing, drinking, sweat, camaraderie, and laughter..... Secret Country self-released 2008’s “The Tex Ritter EP” and followed up in 2009 with their full length debut, “Women, Whiskey and Nightlife” on Killing Horse Records..... ..
