About me: Sometimes I have a hard time deciding whether my favorite color is grey, chrome, or stainless.
When I was young I wanted to be a race-car driver like my uncle. When I got older, I found out he wasn't actually the team's driver, but the distinction was hardly important: he kept racing slicks in his garage.
In high school, I wanted to be a poet. I eventually wrote instruction manuals. Right now I'm writing (very slowly) a short story about a system administrator trapped alone in a data center when the power goes out.
Who I'd like to meet: Old friends, people I went to school with, people I used to work with or might work with in the future. You know, that sort of thing.
I think you should write a book of poetry in the form of an instruction manual written by a systems administrator when the power's gone out. I honestly think this would be an awesome idea. If you don't write it, I will.
