My fav of all time. I read years ago and no one has ever heard of it "Pain"
It was about a hospital experiment on blocking the pain receptors in the body.
Once it was done people were becoming addicted to trying to feel pain again even if it meant death.
Heroes
Jimmy Stewart and my son. I went to a book store and wondered past a huge line of people waiting for a book signing to start. Once inside I found the self help isle and started to prowse. Behind me I hear the voice of an old man" Why, Why that sure is a pretty baby you have there can I hold him" I turned around and there he was.
Mr. Jimmy Stewart a very tall old man and he held out his hands to hold my son. After a bit a person said to him " Mr. Stewart we are waiting on you" in a nice, but snippy voice. Mr. Stewart turn to the voice and said " hold on I'm having moment here" A moment out of his life to interact with me and my son, I had no Idea that Jimmy Stewart was in that store. I remember asking for his autogragh and got it before he walked away. But for a moment it time he was all about us. That was the coolest thing I can think of. Second coolest was meeting Andy Gibb.
My son struggles with dyslexia and over comes it step by step everyday and own his own terms. That's hard for me I want to fix it now.
And last but not least Jon Bon Jovi. He sing right to my heart and works for so many wonderful causes and he treats his fans like gold. A lesson from him was to be who I am and stick to my guns. I live be that and that has changed my life. Just like my son has taught me "own my own terms and no backing down."
These men have changed my life.
I have to add another moment in my chapter called life. It was one of those times when time stops and everyone else disapears.
In Dallas at the AAC Jan. 15th 2006. I had 2 row, seat, 1 stage left. Right on the Isle baby. My new loves Green river Ordinaces had just opened up For Bon Jovi. They show was really rockin when security blocked our seats with a metal gate and the security gaurd turns tom and says "don't worry (with this big toothy gin) I'll get out of your way when he comes out. He's coming out here, right now.
And the moment begins. That 70's show moment Wind blown hair swirling around his head like a halo. That smile that make women, angels and yes some men faint. Have you ever seen a dream walking? I can honestly say YES. Not only walking towards me but right at me. He took my hand and squized I did the same and let go and he pulls me along for a second and then pulls off the ends of my fingers. When he came back through he got me again the same way. His hands are like satin. Butter baby.
People who like music and having fun. I think strange and weired is wonderful. My heart will always belong to me. I ain't looking for anything other then friends!
