Kicking off MySpace Comedy’s very first Secret Standup was Carlos Mencia, Performing to a full house of 325 MySpacers at Irvine, CA’s Improv, Mencia took to the stage as MySpacers’ cheers roared throughout the little club. Mencia opened with his trademark “DEE-dee-dee” routine before proceeding directly to MySpace jokes in classic Mencia fashion – unabashed and straight up. With an impressive lineup that included Pablo Francisco, Gabriel Iglesias, Joey Medina, Jo Koy, Brad Williams and Gene Pompa, Carlos Mencia and his army of comics treated fans to a marathon three-hour set of non-stop laughs that had MySpacers in hysterics. “Free shows are scary for comedians,” Mencia told the sold-out MySpace crowd. “But you guys have been the best! Seriously. I will do this again in a heartbeat – and we will!”
