Figuring that we had an extra day to spare, we loaded up our suit cases and hopped on a plane and headed to our neighbors up north. Vancouver was the spot of our latest installment of MySpace Secret Stand-Up. It was a cold, rainy Friday evening but that didn’t stop the herd of umbrellas (and the fans carrying them) to come and celebrate the Leap Year with Janeane Garofalo, Paul Provenza and Dana Gould, otherwise known as the Satiristas. The Media Club was packed to the max as the trio showcased their wit, virtuosic command of sarcasm and irony, and finely tuned bull-crap detectors. Paul hosted the night and shared his thoughts on evolution and politicians. Dana spoke about global warming and tooth surgery and Janeane capped off the night with a headline set that contained commentary on Canada’s Prime Minister and a lesson on why you shouldn’t wear flip-flops to a protest. A big THANK YOU for all of those that braved mother nature and came out to laugh with us! Special thanks goes out to the Satiristas for a fabulous show. To the media club for a great setting and to Toyota Corolla for making all our shows not only possible but FREE!!!
