Hundreds of fans took the time on a beautifully sunny spring Sunday to wait in line for nearly five hours to guarantee a spot into the show, which left some restless and hungry as show time neared. Once the doors opened the mood quickly turned to excitement as each fan was given a ticket and escorted to their seat. By 7:45 the house was packed. A roar of cheers swept through the room as Peters took the Evil Dead cabin backdrop stage. And like a long-time friend, he poked fun at a number of fans sitting in the first couple rows dishing out racial, yet PC acceptable jokes about their backgrounds and what they did for a living. Rather than do a normal headline routine, Peters hosted the show and brought out some of his close comedian friends such as home-grown Canadian comics Gavin Stephens, Ron Josol, Gilson Lubin, Jean Paul, Glen Foster and Kenny Robinson. By the end of the night, a standing ovation was in order and another successful MySpace Secret Standup goes down in the books.
