About me: Southeastern CT (SECT) CrossFit is Eastern CT's premier strength and conditioning studio. We are also the first and only licensed CrossFit affiliate in the region! SECT CrossFit provides strength training & conditioning programs for all ages that are unmatched in the region in regards to efficiency, efficacy, and intensity.
At SECT CrossFit, you will learn to move your body, not machines and will be personally coached throughout your entire session. Here, 0ur trainers strive to develop our clients' highest level of human performance. Our unique business model allows us to focus on client experience and not on the "bottom-line."
At SECT CrossFit, we operate very differently than what you are accustomed to at a typical fitness center. All of our clients are considered "athletes" because we feel that everyone has some degree of athletic ability. All training at SECT CrossFit takes place in a personally coached environment. The value and benefit of coached training cannot be overstated. It is a feature that is virtually absent anywhere in the fitness industry, other than elite athletic strength & conditioning facilities. This service usually comes at a very expensive price, making it not feasible for most of the population.
The CrossFit strength & conditioning program was developed by Coach Greg Glassman to enhance an individual's competency at all physical tasks. CrossFit training is not only safe, but highly effective and efficient. During each session, we have our "athletes" perform constantly varied, functional movements, at high speeds. The result is a more balanced and complete fitness across all fitness domains (balance, strength, agility, etc.).
Our training incorporates movements from a wide range of disciplines and sports to help our "athletes" reach their highest potential. We draw from such areas as Olympic Weightlifting, Gymnastics, Plyometrics, Track & Field, Powerlifting, Rowing, and Climbing just to name a few. While our methods and style are not for everyone, everyone is welcome, and anyone can do it. There are people ranging from age 8 to 80 doing this.

Who I'd like to meet: Getting Started at SECT CrossFit
Here's How:
Step #1. Contact one of our instructors as soon as possible. They will discuss with you your current fitness goals, and previous fitness experience. You can also stop by for a free workout on Saturday mornings, or simply sign up for our CrossFit Foundations program.
Step #2. Download and read the free issue of the CrossFit Journal and the FAQ page on http://www.crossfit.com/. Schedule and attend all CrossFit Foundations classes, or Private Training sessions.
Step #3. After you complete the CrossFit Foundations program you will have two (2) options:
a. Sign up for a monthly package to have access to Open Training hours
b. Purchase a 10-session punch card for whenever you decide to "drop in"
