Every since we kicked off the Seddon Festival in the Park MySpace site, there’s been a lot of interest from artists who may wish to be involved in upcoming festivals. To avoid possible misunderstandings or “dummy-spits”, here’s a rough guide to our selection criteria that’s developed in more recent times.
Every year we’ve had more potential performers than time available on the day.
In random order, our loose selection guidelines have developed as follows……
- local / Western Suburbs based; this of course can be waived for the REALLY famous!
- a mixture of established and unknown performers
- varied genre
- gender balance where possible
- one or more acts from previous year
