About me: Seed Cafe was started by Diallo and myself in January 2008. The idea was to offer a place where one could come and eat good, satisfying VEGAN food. We wanted flavor, and some of the familiarity of dishes that we grew up with. Diallo has been vegan for over 12 years and I 8. It took me that long about to figure out ways to make food taste good while eliminating animal products, avoiding GMO's, and staying organic whenever possible(most of our food is organic). We had a vegan cafe and bookstore in Brooklyn NY 2002-2004 called Think Bookstore. It was great! We had a smaller menu but we were delicious none the less. But when gentrification took over the block, we considered a move and landed in Diallo's home town of Kansas City. 3 years later here we are at Seed Cafe ready to serve again! Our Hours Are Mon-Closed Tue-Fri 11-3 Lunch Fri-Sat 5-9 Dinner With a weekend Special Sat-Sun 10-3 Brunch Thur 7:30 Film Series Limited Menu. We Look Forward to Having You Back!

I just wanted to give kudos and props to you both for having such an incredible restaurant! I had the first opportunity to partake this afternoon, and I must tell you that I licked the plate CLEAN!!! AMAZINGLY good food! Thank you for coming to KC!!! I've brought in numerous non-vegan family and friends and they have ALL been surprised at how much they really enjoyed the food! Whoohoo!!
Oh how I wish that your cafe was here! There are no good places to get vegan food as good as yours around Chicagoland, period. Next time I come I am ordering a bunch of stuff! Can't wait to try the fried corn!
My girlfriend and I finally got the chance to dine there today!! And can I just tell you, it was DELISH! Thank you for the greatest food I have tasted in awhile! :)
My two sons and I ate lunch there today and we loved everything!!!!! Thanks for all you hard work. Your space is wonderful and your food was outstanding! We will be back very soon!
