Bio
SEED formed in January 2009 and soon started making a name for them selves. Starting out as a high school band at Taminmin High the boys did their first recording in July 2009, which ended up being a 1 track Demo. This was enough to attract the attention of a local sound producer who offered the boys a cheap deal for their second recording. The day after their recording the boys played their first pub gig at the famous Noonamah Tavern. ‘A little bit sick’ EP was released in December 2009 and the boys soon started selling them around town. ‘Heavy by Heavy’ was the first of what were soon to be many performances at the Happy Yes by the boys. Our first singer left us in March of 2010 and four piece line up we know today was formed. With regular performances at the Happy Yes and Brownsmart the boys have amassed a following both in town and in the rural area. With the boys playing at Terrorfest 2 and 3 both with crowd numbers above 500 people SEED have never failed to pull a crowd. With a style described as somewhat Hard Rock while also being grungy and high energy all at the same time SEED has proved popular with all ages. Heading into the second half of the year SEED also began to fine tune their pub skills by playing a host of party events including one at Warren Park which had over 300 people. Playing a range of covers including 3 doors down, Silverchair, Powderfinger, Marcy Playground and Nirvana SEED are a good choice whether it be a party, wedding, function or pub gig. They settled on the friend Jay and after hearing his little brother Jess play guitar they decided he was a must in the band. In January 2009 they decided that they needed to start writing their own songs. By June They Had 7 songs finished and were eager to perform. They decided that in the June-July School Holidays they would record their songs and upload them on MySpace but since John got food poisoning on the eve on the last day of recording they only got the one done which was of poor quality. In August 2009 with the song Shut Your Mouth recorded they uploaded it on MySpace with an overwhelming response with over 400 views in the first week. Being described as having Metallica Influences with a hint of Nirvana the boys are exited about recording again and looking to break away from community gigs and move into pub gigs -
