Since Seeker’s genesis in the spring of 2008, the mission statement of the Chicago-based trio is simple yet ambitious: induce clarity through creative song structures, unique vocal harmonies, and imaginative rhythm. As music has served this function for the members of Seeker (Matthew Sullivan, vocals, guitar; John Tashjian, vocals, keys; Pete Tashjian, drums) they too wish to perpetuate this experience for others. With subject matter spanning American healthcare's obsession with pharmaceuticals, city induced insomnia, and one man’s struggle with his voyeuristic tendencies, these arrangements and chaptered compositions can only be likened to a graphic novel of sound. The song writing has a conceptual progression that lies buried deep within the context of Seeker’s compositions and is tailored as an irresistible journey to the depths of a world where fictional characters attempt to decipher what is real and what is the dark waking-dreamlike state...called human consciousness. The music, itself, resides in progressive, mutating roots filled with intricate musicianship, levitating vocal harmonies, and subtle yet aggressive tonal complexities. Seekers naturally unique songs, such as “Meducated” and “The Swelling”, are hook-laden vessels of sound that grab fans ruthlessly and leave them hungry for the inevitable sonic exegesis this group has yet to unleash...
This magnetic trio’s emotionally-charge performances have just begun and the road ahead will see their debut album release coupled with their burgeoning cult of fans in the summer of 2009.

Hey there – FGC has two fun shows in Iowa this weekend! First up is DG’s Tap House in Ames on Friday for a show with MooseKnuckle, where we’ll be raffling off tickets to Summer Camp Festival! Saturday, we head over to the Redstone Room in Davenport, our first time back since New Year’s. The weekend is sure to be blast, so we hope to see you out there!
