| About Seeking Obscure |
SEEKING OBSCURE is the spawn of metal musician/enthusiast Rob Luckie. Being in the METAL scene for 20 yrs & having played in serveral bands in many styles for over 14 yrs, he was left discouraged by the lack of similar minded musicians in the area, and yearned to play a more aggressive style of music. Early on, Rob had some mild success with his first death metal band BLUDGEON. Sadly, only releasing one well received demo tape:"Food For Worms", (featured in several metal publications) Later on the band dissolved due to lack of suitable members.
Inspired by other "one man bands" such as INSIDIOUS DECREPANCY, PUTRID PILE, among others, the thought entered- "What's stopping me??!!!"
After several failed attempts at forming an original band, comprised of all instruments, the bassist decided to write,perform and record all the material himself.
Enter the birth of SEEKING OBSCURE.........
These past set backs only added fire to this musical beast, and pushed the writing of 5 new tracks. 4 of these tracks are currently featured on the split CD with the death metal bandUNBURIED!

SEEKING OBSCURE showed the protential of becoming a serious full time project,and has been treated as such ever since.

Currently SEEKING OBSCURE has just released its debut Full Length,self titled CD through METALBOLIC RECORDS. Improving a great deal in the songwriting dept,SEEKING OBSCURE displays the ability to make its mark in the underground scene!
SEEKING OBSCURE doesn't claim to be THE most "brutal" band,but it for sure won't be the least, and will promise to churn out head splitting METAL!!
