The story of Seeking begins in May of 2005 with the serendipitous meeting of two random souls: Pablo and Heather (a.k.a. "Spencer"). Pablo, a 10+ year veteran of the Chicago music scene, was a guitarist/songwriter who happened to be fervently working towards forming a unique and genuine rock band. "Spencer" was a talented, yet-to-be-discovered vocalist who was in search of the same. Becoming fast friends, the two began to nurture the seed that would quickly blossom into Seeking. This quickly led to the acquisition of the industrious bassist Nicko from The ITS! and second guitarist Ric (who spiced the musical flavor with his accordion). It wasn't until December of 2005 that the revolving, unassigned drummer slot was finally filled by rhythm-expert Dan Apodaca, thereby completing the line-up. Unfortunately, shortly after Dan's arrival, Ric departed to concentrate on his other musical projects while still making the occassional guest appearance at Seeking gigs, armed with the crowd-pleasing accordion. This temporary vacancy was occupied in March 2006 by newcomer guitarist "Death Metal Joe" and the Seeking flower was in full bloom once again with numerous shows all over the Chicagoland area and countless more to come.
The music of Seeking has often left listeners resorting to the popular default description, "I can't really describe their sound." The melding of each member's diverse taste and style gives each song it's own distinctive flavor with a myriad of influences ranging anywhere from latin rock to jazz fusion, from doom metal to contemporary folk, all rooted in good, old-fashioned rock and roll. The one indisputable definite is the solid musicianship behind this organic sound with each member's skill adding to the entire structure: Pablo's skillful songwriting and masterful riffing, Spencer's soulful vocals and intriguing stage expressions, Death Metal Joe's reserved-yet-assertive guitarwork, all supported by Nicko's elegantly grooving basslines and Dan's dexterous sturdiness behind his kit... With all these qualities coming from a group of individuals who have grown together into a family, the listener will undoubtedly see and feel the creative and loving vibe that nourishes the band, always SEEKING.

Hey TOP FRIEND!, my new profile song is up. I'm using Makahiya's "Serpent in a Holy Land". I met these dudes purely by being out in the field. They have great riffs and some really awesome chorus's. The two guitarists switch off on lead vocals, and I think they have a very creative drummer. Please let them or myself know what you think by placing a comment to me or them.
