We are located in Michigan and are seeking to match up with a birthmother. We are hoping to adopt a baby. Hopefully, sometime soon! We had an appoved homestudy on file with our agency. Unfortunately, over a year has gone by with no luck of brining a little one home to us. We are heart broken because we couldn't renew our home-study with our agency. Adoption cost so much money and because the economy is so bad right now in Michigan we are going to try and renew out paper work as soon as at all possible. We keep praying a miracle will come along.
We need your help any help. Please pass our information on to any birthmom that you may know that maybe considering adoption. Someone that maybe having an unplanned pregnancy. If you don't know a birthmomther and can donate anything to our cause that would greatly help too.~Thanks and God bless~
Dear potential birth mother,
We know you are facing a tremendous decision in your life right now. We understand you are facing a very difficult and stressful situation right now. You may be feeling scared or overwhelming and our hearts and prayers go out to you. We can't express enough how much we admire your courage and your selflessness in choosing adoption. Putting your child’s needs above your own is the ultimate display of unconditional love. You must be a strong, compassionate and a caring person. You love this baby very much, that is obvious. If you give us the opportunity to be parents and raise your child you would be giving us the greatest gift someone could ever give us. In return, we promise you, we would raise this child in a home filled with love and laughter. We promise you, we would raise this child in a warm, safe, caring environment. We promise you, we would surround this child with a lifetime of compassion and joy. We would encourage this child throughout his/her life to follow his/her dreams and to strive for his/her goals. We would also, give this child a future full of bright and promising opportunities.
About us:
Spending time with our friends and family is very important to us. We like having friends and family over for dinner. We like having the occasional campfire in the back yard on warm summer nights. We are both pretty laid back people that enjoy doing things like bowling, going to the movies, going to the beach, and working outside in our yard. We also enjoy traveling, biking, horseback riding, and working out at the gym. We go camping several times every summer. Our favorite annual family camping trip is to Jellystone Campground. There is a ton of activities for children of all age, like hula-hoop contests, face painting, hay rides, and magic shows. It's always something we look forward to doing. We also take a yearly family vacation. Every year we try to go somewhere different, unless the trip is such a good time then we go back again for a second time. Some of our favorite trips include a trip to Sea World, The Wisconsin Dells (home of the world's largest indoor and outdoor water-parks), Cedar Point, and to Chicago (to the Museum of Science and Industry and to the Adler Planetarium).
Unfortunately, we struggle from secondary infertility. We both have a longing to raise a child together that just wouldn't go away. It's hard to explain but we almost feel incomplete, like something, or should I say someone is missing in our lives and from our family. We could of either went forward with infertility treatments or we could look towards other options. We both decided adoption would be the best option for our family. Adoption feels right for us. Some people say all things happen for a reason,. Maybe your path and our path is crossing for a greater reason. Maybe we are being destined by a higher power.
Our home:
We live in a very nice single story home. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We have a large fenced in back yard that is just perfect for a child to play in, all that's needed is a new swing set, a sand box and a beloved child. A very short walk from our home is the elementary school with a huge playground, a soccer field, and a baseball field. Also, with in walking distance is our local ice cream shop. Just a short jot away from our home is a bicycle and roller blade trail that is several miles long. We live on a no thru street and have many children in our area. It's a wonderful neighborhood to raise a child. Our community is more of a smaller quiet community but with a short drive we can go into town where there is a large mall, a movie theater, and several restaurants. We live by the lakeshore so going to the beach is just a few minutes away. Our home is located in a excellent school district because a child's education is very important to us. Lastly, our home also comes complete with two whimsical dogs.
A little about Bill:
(Written by Kari)
Bill is a very caring and loving person. He's very charismatic and charming. Perfect strangers seem to be drawn to him and children adore him. After spending just a short time with him people start telling him their life stories because he's so comfortable to be around. He has away of putting people at ease. He's doesn't try to be something he's not. He's genuine and true. Bill has a wonderful sense of humor. It's one of his best qualities. If I am ever feeling blue or upset about something he has away of bringing a smile to my face, he's my rock and knight in shinning armor all rolled into one. Bill makes everyday fun and adventurous. He's a very hard worker. He's also honest, funny, compassionate, and very outgoing. Bill enjoys golfing, bowling, riding his harley, building and fixing things. He also loves to lifts weights at the gym and likes watching Nascar & hockey.
A little about Kari:
(Written by Bill)
Kari has a big heart and is very compassionate. She loves animals dearly. Ever sense she was a little girl she has felt the need to rescue every helpless animal she comes across. Kari is very skilled when it comes to computers and the Internet. Our family always looks to Kari when they need help researching things from medical information to vacation planning. She is always willing to help anyone at anytime, that's just her nature. Kari is my best friend and wonderful person. She has a heart of gold and never stops giving. Kari enjoys scrapbooking, jet skiing, and working in her flower garden.
Our family:
Everyone in our family from the baby's future siblings to future grandparents are excited about welcoming a new child into "all" of our lives. We both have a pretty large extended family so there are numerous grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncle's and cousin's for a child to be loved and adored by. We are fortunate because almost everyone in our family lives within twenty minutes from our us.
Holiday get-togethers are always special. We have several holiday traditions we value greatly. Just a few of our annual Christmas traditions include everyone getting together and decorating our Christmas tree, every year we buy a special Christmas ordainment that represents our family for that particular year to hang on the tree, and going to Bill's grandma's house on Christmas day for her wonderful Christmas day feast.
In closing:
This is just a glimpse of who we are. We hope we get the opportunity to meet you and answer any questions you may have for us. We would like to reassure you that we would always provide a warm loving home for your child, and we would raise your child with him/her knowing that you made your decision about adoption out of your unconditional love that you have for him/her. Lastly, we would like you to know we want you to feel comfortable and secure in your decision and if that means going beyond the standard "semi-open" adoption we would be happy to discuss more options with you. We want what's best for everybody!
We want to appreciate and thank you for taking the time to read our profile and taking the time to hopefully consider us as adoptive parents for your precious child.
Sincerest blessings to you,
Bill and Kari
