SEINDORFF - ARVONIA
SEINDORFF is a collaboration between Geraint Ffrancon (High Quality Recordings, Stabmaster Vinyl, Blodyn Tatws and a host of other projects) and William Cnicht (aka Haydon Hughes, Pappy, Y Pencadlys).
Their sound lies somewhere between the cool electronic pop of Kraftwerk and the unremitting lunacy of Captain Beefheart circa Trout Mask Replica. 'Arvonia' encompasses electronica ('Lux, 'Menai'), bitcrush reggae breakcore ('QY Reggae'), neo-drum'n'bass ('Peninsula Bling'), tango ('Traed Brian'), freaky toy music ('Tretegana'), insanity ('Roast Poodles', 'Peth Bach Handi), and explicit flirting with the defiantly naff ('Lembo').
Although their debut can most definitely be described as an electronic album, the narrative is also alive with a host of other influences and all manner of instrumentation making the unlikeliest of appearances - guitars, pedal steel, harmonica, tin whistle, kazoo, accordion, zither, and human voices all feature.
