When in May 2009 Inger, Niels and Dennis decided to leave Seiphian, Joop and Fon felt strongly that they had to move on, since Seiphian – Nijmegen in the Netherlands, was founded by them in 2006. Somewhere around December Fon Sanders and Joop Lammerts met, and started writing songs together. As they worked on some songs, they felt a great connection with their skills of playing, composing and producing and had the same ideas in music.
The last year and a half Seiphian has played a lot of gigs in the Netherlands as a symphonic metal band, establishing her name in the Dutch Progressive Metal scene. One can imagine that the split-up of the band determined a change of the musical direction.
With the experience of the last year and a half - and next to Romijn who joined Seiphian in April and the other band members – Seiphian is now stronger and more powerful then ever. For now, plans are made for a new recording session and Seiphian decided to play a lot of new shows.
Check them out if you’d like to, you won’t be disappointed at all!
