Rastafari. Bless up! Selah's first musical
experience was in the mid 80's in a roots band called BLACK
SURVIVORS.
They played around England and Europe and
recorded an album named FAMINE on a independant label named
SWORD LION. Selah Is guitarist, a songwriter and singer.
Throughout that time he was working amongst various
sound systems and linked up with UNITY SOUND and recorded few
tracks with them. Some never release but the track PICK A SOUND
was his most popular song from the sound. According to Robert
"Ribs" Fearon (the owner from Unity Sound) in an interview given in 2004, this song was the
biggest hit of this label. It've been out on a sampler from
UNITY SOUND named WATCH HOW THE PEOPLE DANCING, that had a good
distribution in Europe.
Through the years he've
been working with different musical vibes and labels: he
recorded song on DUBWISE label, REAL REBELS for the dub
massive. Also have had couple songs released on SIRIUS records:
MUST GET FREE, EMPRESS. Also London sound KING ORIGINAL release
track called HOPE on black skin boy riddim on the label named
STUDIO 55.

With the band
CHAPTER IN DUB, they played some gig in France, in Brittany
with his latest music vibe not to long ago. It was a kind of
dub rock vibe.
"Musically I like to push I
creativity to find next levels in producing, singing and
songwriting. "
You almost speak about love and
conscious message, can you tell us about that choice? what is
your main message? "InI inspiration comes simply
from life in all its seasons. In these times we can see the
trials and tribulations of mankind on earth very clearly. As a
guitarist I enjoy to write and produce a slightly different
flavour in I music reflecting this. Singing about truths and
rights, pain and happiness, is just reality on creation. At
this time I work on material for new solo album aiming for the
summer 2009."
What is your name from? "InI name came from the elders of which I would sit amongst
in early years, I birth name, Colin from my father. He was not
there for I so I would seek wisdom amongst elders in younger
years. The name selah, meaning conscious reflection, this InI
carry through the writings of I music and give thanks to the
most high for the blessings." Tell us more
about your work and vibe in the music... "In this
time all singers and players of instrument are needed to spread
more love for the humble and fire for the wicked. I look
forward always to the sharing of the healing through music
which is InI works"
