Seldom Sober has been providing Savannah with traditional Irish music since May of 2007 and consists of transplanted northerners Colleen Settle and Michael Corbett.
Colleen hails from the New York area and has been in Savannah since late summer of 2006. A superb Irish fiddler and former member of the band Liscune, Colleen brings years of professional experience and an extensive catalog of tunes to the group.
Michael is a native New Englander who moved to Savannah from Plymouth, MA in July of 2005. Michael played professionally with numerous bands and as a solo performer in the Boston area starting in 1995. A jack of all trades and master of none, Michael sings and primarilly plays guitar for Seldom Sober, though he also plays banjo, octave mandolin, bodhran, English concertina, and other instruments.
Who said that there can’t be peace in the world? Colleen and Michael are diehard baseball fans of the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox (respectively), but they are able to look past those differences to focus on their common affection for Irish music.
