Self Induced Pain was formed in 2001 by Eric aka Snatchcutter (ex-Atheosophy) on guitars /backing vocals and Richie on drums in Ojai, California. The lineup included 'Metal' Mike Payton of Encoma on bass/backing vocals (ex-Crevice, Eat Shit and Die, Crop Circle), Andrew Cornish also on guitars, and Fredric Abraham Rohr ll (ex-Desicration) on lead vocals. The band played many great shows and also recorded a full length demo, but later on parted ways in late 2003. With Snatchcutter back in Texas the band was resurrected in 2006 with Vile Kyle on drums and Snatchcutter taking on vocals and guitar duties. Original vocalist Fredric Rohr returns in 2007. New blood is now being spilled with second guitarist Jordan Powers (Unspeakable Things). We are currently looking to complete the line up and the legacy of sip.

Encoma has made a new step forward and has changed vocalists. Jeocoma Metal Mike And Fitzy are splinting the vocal task that Ray (Pappa) no longer is a part of. Encoma is still tarring it up. An added rhythm guitarist shredding as well. With the new line up and a professional attitude. Encoma has most of a new CD written and will record soon. There have been roomers that Encoma broke up but. In fact Encoma has only strengthened. The old myspace is still up but compramised and unaccessible. Please deleat it frome your friends list. Encoma is still going strong and will be playing in Oakland for a killer Halloween bash at ANNIALATION TIME'S House fallowed up with a day after show.
