We are the band Self Surplus and we're from around the Rat City area (white center, burien, seattle and normandy park). We (Dylan, Caleb, and Paul) have been playing togther since the beginning of 8th grade. We only jammed with eachother for a while due to the fact that we had just started playing our instruments and we had no singer. In october of 2006 we finally produced 4 songs of our own with just instruments. A couple days after the recording we aquired our singer Nic. When Nic joined we worked very hard on making our own material. In july of 2007 we began recording our first album at Orbit Audio in Pioneer square. The final out come was a 12 track CD of nothing but originals. In December of 2007, we came in contact with Philip, singer of the former Bazino Bazino The Kid Whose Hair Is On Fire. We then had to let Nic go and we brought Philip into our band. We just went back into the studio and had Philip rerecord the vocal tracks for our new MEASURED PEOPLE EP. We currently have three of those song for you to listen to. The EP itself has yet to be released so if you would like to pre order on for 5$ send us a message and we will but you on our list.
