Self to Notes, is a night designed to deliver vignettes of bewitching acoustica to your ears, bringing together an embarrassment of riches in the South West, with acts from further afield. If that sounds of interest you can contact me via toby [at] selftonotes [dot] co [dot] uk.
Details of the next event can be found in the gig listings on this page.
I also deal with gig bookings and general enquiries for the talented soul that is Roger Tarry and Darker Dogs - e-mail me via toby [at] rogertarry [at] net for more details.
By all means get in touch. Cheers.
I hoped you enoyed Chantal gig tonight! Do not remember if you'll be around Bristol nexr week (or on holiday) but we'll play the Folkhouse on friday the 10th... Thomas
Thank you so much! We do enjoy our summer very much, sweating and working in Majorca on our new album :) Ah but it..s so beautiful here - we really hope to come back to Bristol with our new album, will definitely send you a copy once it..s out ( still many months ahead though..) Wish you a great summer too!
Hi Toby - thanks (sorry they're somewhat delayed!) for picking up my friend request. I like the Folk House :) Worth letting you know next time I'll be in the Bristol area again from the point of view of a gig? Best wishes James
In reply to your blog comment - It worked for me for 16 nights but then I really did run out of inspiration good and proper. I used it all up I think! Sometimes it was really hard to find something, so I looked over old poems and remembered stuff. I also wrote about my cat, so you know...
Do you happen to know of any violinists or cellists, or anyone else for that matter who might be interested to play music?
Anyway, I hope you're enjoying your summer too - are you keeping an eye on the cricket?
Thanks for the comment :-) It has been a nice summer evening although the cloud and rain has started down south now. I'm glad I brought some musical niceness to your evening :-)
