Just me, sometimes I ask Rob to lend some male vocalling and maybe the odd bit of beatboxing if neccessary...and sometimes my lovely friend Naomi who can reach a few more extra bass notes than I can :o)
This is my acapella project. It started partly because I never got very far in my attempts to learn an accompanying instrument for my singing, and I'd done lots of fun acapella stuff during my school years, then I heard Petra Haden's 'Imaginaryland' which is a completely vocal album (apart from the odd violin) and I thought 'yay, I can just make an album with my voice', hmmm, the album idea is still in progress, I've only really got 3 ish songs completed in...two ish years?! Yikes, better get on with it.....
I also perform with University of the King, the band of my fiancee and our good friends. We've been gigging around Birmingham and parts of the North West of England for a while now, it's very fun. We perform acoustic versions of the bands album tracks which tend to have a different set up on the recordings. We have a real live double bass, acoustic guitar, drums, rapping vocalists and I lend some vocals and clarinet playing (reminiscent of those old school orchestra days)...
Hi Selbod, congratulations! Really sorry I missed the wedding but was up in scotland seeing my grandad. Does it feel weird having a new name? I think its got a certain ring to it! (excuse the pun) x
You're so right, I love it! Thats the kind of music that I'd really hoped existed, but didn't know if it did, because I'd never found it. And now I have, I love it!
Hallelujah! Oh boy! Those are some intense happenings! God has big pockets. Big pockets. What happens now?? Flipping heck. I have a feeling the next part will be even more beautiful than the last..

First of all a huge thank you to everyone who made it to The Cavern last week. What a night!! The place was jumping, you were easily our best audience yet. We love you all!! We raised over a grand for The National Deaf Children's Society so thanks for being brilliant.
Secondly, we'll be live at The Miller near London Bridge this Saturday, March 10th. It's £5 on the door with a flyer, £6 without. You can find the flyer here! Doors are at 8pm and I think we're on at around 9:30pm. Details are on our MySpace page.
