Selly Sausage, Birmingham
The Selly Sausage is a bit of a god in the eyes of students and being just a short stroll from the University means that it does a sizzlingly fierce trade in term time, especially with bargain meal deals. It likes to see itself as a European-style café/bar and keeps the punters happy with a hefty helping of entertainment, including a quiz night on Mondays and live music on Sunday evenings. Available for party hire and with a full licence, there's no reason for being a silly sausage - go get yourself a skinful.
