About me:
Class of 77 is a fantastic new stage musical set to take the world by storm! Written in Australia by David Hines, “Class of 77” has been performed many times by theatre groups and schools since it’s premiere in 2006. The plot revolves around a group of students at high school in 1977 and their subsequent school reunion 15 years later. The show features a very funny script and 13 original songs, all of which are in a 70’s rock/pop style. With a love story, a Swedish exchange student, women’s lib and a calypso number about a Holden Torana this show really has it all! The show has been performed in Australia, New Zealand, the U.K and the U.S.A. Unlike most youth musicals which are set in the U.S.A this one allows the actors to portray themselves with local accents and expressions. The author is happy to work with theatre groups to make changes to the script which will suit their particular locale. The world's largest short film competition comes to Sydney! The Sydney segment of the internationally acclaimed 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT will be run from the Blue Mountains as a part of this year's Footbeat Festival. The weekend of 10-12 October promises to be a wild and sleepless weekend for the teams who are challenged to make a movie or music clip, to write, shoot and edit it in just 48 hours.

Filmmakers throughout NSW, including Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Lithgow, Bathurst and the Blue Mountains are invited to compete in the world's oldest and largest timed-film competition. The 48HFP takes place annually in over 70 cities around the world competing to win the title of Best 48 Hour Film of 2008.

The 48HFP can help launch a filmmaking career. 'Myles West', last year's winner in Brisbane, went on to win a swag of awards at the international competition in America, competing against the winners from 50 other cities. It was then screened in the Short Film Corner at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. For more information please contact:
