Selyne Maia has had an audience since she was 5 years old and still draws a crowd.
Using her calming voice and soulful music she captivates her fans leaving
them wanting more.
Selyne began singing early in her life. Soon after creating a taste for music,
she began taking piano lessons and writing her own compositions. Selyne
then began performing on stage at theatrical and lounge settings. While
still continuing to play live, Selyne made time to obtain her Bachelor of
Fine Arts at York University with a major in Music. She has been
involved in many choirs and ensembles and has studied with various
notable teachers such as; Catherine Wilson, Maria Farinha and
Adrean Farrugia.
Selyne now spends a majority of her time dedicated to teaching piano,
and has been for 3 years. She enjoys being able to share her
knowledge and gets great pride in watching her students grow as
musicians. Selyne is also in the process of recording her debut album.
With her expanding knowledge of music, the talented Selyne Maia
will be the next artist to take over the airwaves.
