Orbital, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Leftfield, Eat Static, and The Orb.
Well, that's what some people say.
Semihere are again a two piece band based in the north-west of England, after recently acquiring, then losing (!) a singer, and may be updating the site in the near future!
We create live electronic music designed for listening to or dancing to, and don't really mind either way, as long as people seem to like it.
We are not DJs, we play our own original material live.
(Apart from the occasional 'cover-version-with-a-twist')
Influences: Orbital, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Eat Static and The Orb.
Also some influence from such varied sources as Slayer, FSOL, The Moog CookBook, Brian Eno and Frank Zappa. Plus some influence from pretty much everything else we listen to, read, watch, or do.
Our live shows also feature original computer generated imagery for visual entertainment.
Our aim is to create music using a balance of a rich sonic palette, and interesting beats, so that people who like to listen and people who like to dance are all equally entertained.
We write music in most genres of electronic music including Techno, Ambient, Drum n Bass, Trance, Dub, IDM, Breaks, Acid, and many others we don't actually know the name of.

New tune about women called Guys Wanna Play. Production by Evileyz. Tell me what u think via comment, i’d much appreciate that. Also go to my facebook page to hear my bootleg called English Boy. It’s getting serious props so have a listen, it is pure jokes. Here’s the link for that...
To continue my track by track upload of my forthcoming mixtape, I have now uploaded Wasting Time. It’s chilled, melodic and insightful (I think). Production by Leeds collective Organised Mess.
I’ve also got a new blog up called All Release Dates Are Off!!! which contains more of the same silliness and ridiculous pictures as previous blogs.
When u get a few minutes please swing by and check em both out and if possible, leave me a comment. Hey Micky went down a treat so hopefully this one does the trick as well.
Medes is the solo project of producer AJ Cookson. Known for his remix work under alter-ego Forma (tKatKa, Death From Above 1979, The Knife, Matthew Rozeik, Score One For Safety), and formerly as the frontman for the explosive band The Montauk Projekt (“…some kind of locked on noise-bastard two-piece” – Organ Magazine), AJ has been a regular contributor to 100m collective projects since the label’s inception and has collaborated with many of the collective’s acts. He now delivers this outstanding and long awaited debut solo collection.

Remember the old cheese-fest called Hey Micky (your so fine)? Well it’s been remixed by Bronze Medal complete with a fat B-line and myself rapping on it. I’m pretty chuffed with how it’s come out so please drop by, have a listen and leave a comment, love it OR hate it.
