Orbital, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Leftfield, Eat Static, and The Orb.
Well, that's what some people say.
Semihere were a two piece band based in the north-west of England, but have recently acquired a singer, and will be updating the site in the near future!
We create live electronic music designed for listening to or dancing to, and don't really mind either way, as long as people seem to like it.
We are not DJs, we play our own original material live.
(Apart from the occasional 'cover-version-with-a-twist')
Influences: Orbital, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Eat Static and The Orb.
Also some influence from such varied sources as Slayer, FSOL, The Moog CookBook, Brian Eno and Frank Zappa. Plus some influence from pretty much everything else we listen to, read, watch, or do.
Our live shows also feature original computer generated imagery for visual entertainment.
Our aim is to create music using a balance of a rich sonic palette, and interesting beats, so that people who like to listen and people who like to dance are all equally entertained.
We write music in most genres of electronic music including Techno, Ambient, Drum n Bass, Trance, Dub, IDM, Breaks, Acid, and many others we don't actually know the name of.

WOW....I thought you were great at the Beatherder. I really enjoyed your set and the singer has got a great voice. To be honest I would pay to see you again, have you got any cds out (with your singer)? Again......You were great mate.
That is indeed me and those cheeky cockney rhymers Chas n Dave.
I asked them if they’d play in the disco gazbo but they were busy.
The cheesy disco gazbo has been upgraded to disco frame tent and indeed will be making an appearance at Beatherder. This time it will also include some liveness as well.
Me (laptop, MPD32 + Vocals) and my pal Chris (Acoustic Guitar, Bass + Vocals) will be performing some cheesy choons of our own! We also aim to play on the DIY stage weather permitting.
Can’t wait to finally catch you guys in action!
Look out for a guy with wild hair dancing around at the front wearing a TIMtable T-shirt clutching a can of Budweiser ;o)
