Dear Professor – Good Kind Sir,
My fondest hope: You shan't demure.
Please grant this wretch but one request.
My need? An 'odd' accordionist.
Just how 'odd' well youl may query.
As oddments go, I'd say "Very".
A soul of passion, wit and grace,
Yet not too proud to self-efface.
Whose heart beats life blood of the Muse
For Art <----(and I don't mean Garfunkel)
All comfort s/he eschews
A glint of madness from said eyes
Quells any urge for compromise.
Beyond convention both we'd plunge-
The mediocre to expunge.
I demand no less of my Self
Than I seek of kindred elf.
And so Good Sir, my tale's now told:
This hapless half seeks to be wholed...
PS:
When I meet my 'missing me'
Like loaded dice
in the crap shoot of life
We'll clatter and clack with glee.
