Dear friends,
How are you all? My name is Jola and I am the person who have been working on "Semshae" album. I want to thank you all for visiting Semshae myspace.
First of all I have a good news. "Semshae" album is now completely recorded and it is ready to be released. I am hopeful that within a month or so, the album will be out. So keep your eyes and years open.
Meanwhile for a fun, I want to ask you to learn to sing the counting song CHI NI, video tape it and post it on youtube. Send me the link so that I can post it here and ask people to comment. The song can be recorded by a child alone or with the parents singing and child repeating as in the original song. I will post the instrumental track here for download so that you can use that to sing over. I will choose 3 winners who will receive a signed Semshae CD from Jhola. Is that a good deal?
So now, learn the song and post it on you tube or myspace. Send me the link and we will announce the winners in a month.
Come back and check out for some nice video. Let's stay in touch. You can always reach me at semshae@yahoo.com
Tashi Delek!

Semshae - A Song from the Heart’s mission is to ensure that Tibet's language and culture of compassion is preserved through children's music for all ages.
This album will be important for the Tibetan children inside Tibet and in exile, Tibetan-speaking regions in Himalayan such as Nepal, Bhutan, Ladakh and Sikkim who share the same Buddhist language. Semshae will simultaneously protect and restore Tibetan culture through music.
Many individuals are aware Tibetan Buddhism’s culture of compassion and nonviolence, but they may not be aware that the continued existence of Tibetan culture is seriously threatened. While cultural preservation efforts by His Holiness the Dalai Lama have been successful in exile, many Tibetans still fear the extinction of their culture and heritage inside Tibet. There are an estimated 130,000 Tibetans refugees currently living outside of Tibet, including about 20,000 in North America. Over five million Tibetans still remain in the Chinese-occupied Tibet.
