About me:
I attended high school at Teurlings Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana where I graduated with honors in 1990. Upon graduation, I attended LSU in Baton Rouge where I served as the Vice President of the Student Government Association, was one of the founders and the first Chairman of the African American Cultural Center and was an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1994, I enrolled at the Southern University Law Center and while there, I was on the Moot Court Board, an Editor of the Southern University Law Review and served as the President of the Student Body.
Upon graduation from the Law Center, I married Attorney Yvette Puckett Cravins and we are the proud parents of two children.
Currently, I am a practicing attorney with the Law Offices of Domengeaux Wright Roy & Edwards in Lafayette. In 2004 I was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives for District 40. When I was elected, my father and I made Louisiana history as the first father and son duo to serve in the Louisiana Legislature at the same time. In 2006, I was elected State Senator for District 24 which is comprised of St. Landry and Lafayette Parishes.
